CNC Machinist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at our facility located in Melrose Park, IL, 60160. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC Lathes and mill machines, including both 2-4 axis and 5+ axis models. Your expertise in G-Code programming, machine setups for production runs, and troubleshooting CNC machines will be essential in ensuring the efficient and accurate production of parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC machines, including both 2-4 axis and 5+ axis models.
• Program and edit G-Code to control machine operations.
• Perform machine setups for production runs, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and materials are in place.
• Operate CNC lathes and mills with G-code programming.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines to minimize downtime.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines and protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.
• Document production data, including machine settings, tooling changes, and production counts.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience operating CNC machines
• Proficient in G-Code programming and editing.
• Strong knowledge of machine setups for production runs
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines.
• Familiarity with machine brands such as Kia, Mazak, Haas, Okuma, and Doosan
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials.
