CNC Machinist

JPW Structural Contracting located in Syracuse, NY is currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team!  Positions are Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with optional half-day Saturdays, when applicable.

Immediate opening available. Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 DOE

• A successful candidate is able to produce machined structural steel parts through manual machining based off blue prints.
• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, trouble shooting, calling for repairs.

• Experience with CNC operation a plus but not required
• 3+ years in related field or recent trades school graduate preferred

Our bays are all equipped with 2 10-ton overhead cranes to provide us with the capability to tackle even the largest jobs. Our facility also includes an in-house detailing department utilizing the most up to date and innovative software available, giving JPW the edge when it comes to complex projects.

• Multi-story Bldgs. and Commercial Retail stores
• Electrical Substation Steel- Design/ Build
• Steel Truss Fabrication & plate girders
• In house Sand blasting and painting booths.
• Ornamental Handrails, Aluminum, Carbon, and Stainless Steel
• Miscellaneous Steel Design and Fabrication, Load testing (ie. Stairs, Ladders, Lifting fixtures, Spreader beams, Pusher Snow plows, buckets, blade fixtures)
• Plate Weldment Fabrications/ in house bending & rolling capabilities
• Press breaks up to 12’ long with 250 ton capacities
