CNC Swiss Machinist 2nd Shift

Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Pay: $20–$27/hour (based on experience; higher for strong candidates)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Advanced Manufacturing Technician I – CNC Swiss to support precision machining operations in a regulated manufacturing environment. In this role, you will operate CNC Swiss machines, ensure part quality through in-process inspection, and follow established manufacturing, safety, and documentation standards.

You will play a key role in supporting production goals, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality systems, including GMP, GDP, SOPs, SWIs, and QMS requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Swiss machining equipment to support production schedules and on-time delivery
• Perform basic tool wear monitoring and report issues to the lead or supervisor
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and technical drawings (including GD&T)
• Complete ERP transactions (Epicor) accurately to document production activities
• Record production data, inspection results, and job activity in logs and reports
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and follow equipment operating procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA standards
• Follow all applicable GMP, GDP, SOP, SWI, and QMS requirements
• Support additional tasks as assigned by supervision

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1+ year of manufacturing or machining experience preferred
• Basic understanding of CNC Swiss machining processes
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and vision systems
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production documentation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Preferred Experience

• CNC machining or a precision manufacturing environment
• Exposure to regulated industries (medical device, aerospace, or similar)
• Experience working under GMP/QMS frameworks
