ESSENTIAL DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED WITH OR WITHOUT ACCOMODATION
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engages with the Commercial Relationship Manager’s to obtain necessary documents to fully underwrite and document credit requests. Reviews customer financial condition and assesses the customer's ability to re-pay the loan. Makes underwriting decisions and performs complex credit analysis while completing the memo.
Occasionally attends joint calls with the commercial relationship manager and his/her customer to gather more information about the customers.
Reviews lender assigned risk grades on all commercial related loans.
Confirms or changes the grade and issues a report of the findings for the lender and management.
Reviews complex loan write-ups for completion and proper execution to ensure adequate enforceability of company's position for new and existing loans reviewed. This includes loan details, document review, financial copies, approvals, etc.
Will stress-test credit facilities, pull personal credit reports, evaluate collateral and perform industry analysis as needed.
Determines that loan file documentation is complete and properly executed to ensure adequate enforceability of the company's position for all new loans reviewed and closes loans.
Troubleshoots and resolves internal and external inquiries.
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Assists with special projects assigned by the Director of Commercial Credit
Makes recommendations on structure of credit facilities to best meet client needs and bank risk profile.
Reviews strategy (acquisition, divestiture of assets, etc.); economic trends, commodities, volume trends, etc.
Prepares annual reviews and recommends changes to risk rating if deemed necessary.
Provides recommendation for appropriate financing solution and structure.
Conduct and participate in annual portfolio reviews to help assess the quality and status of loan portfolio. Provides input and data on loans approved, past due trends, status of annual reviews of households, and other credit administration issues
Perform other credit duties and special tasks requested by the Director of Commercial Credit
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business or related field or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions.
Two to five years’ related work experience required in a professional business environment, with financial institution experience preferred.

Sound knowledge of Commercial loan policy, compliance, and loan operations.

Ability to organize and prioritize work and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Employee must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situations. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and moderately lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
