Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 7 years of applicable experience in credit analysis and/or portfolio management in a commercial lending environment. Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities. Sound understanding of business, business real estate, and related lending, including loan risk rating, portfolio monitoring, asset recovery, and loan work outs. Proven credit analysis skills with the ability to analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow and tax returns. Knowledge of loan structure, pricing, and collateral analysis including knowledge and training in financial statement and tax return analysis preferred. Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for interviewing loan applicants and projecting a positive image as representative of the Credit Union. Ability to succeed in a high stress environment and meet goals and objectives. Demonstrate persistence and the ability to overcome obstacles to best serve our members. Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to provide leadership, supervision and training for employees in a positive manner to ensure maximum productivity and success. Technologically Astute – Must demonstrate the ability to use technology to effectively and efficiently perform job functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required. Considerable judgment and a high level of experience in making sound decisions is required. Must analyze complicated factual situations, apply functional principles and develop solutions. Includes appropriate people in decision-making process and can support and explain reasoning for decisions. Advanced mathematical skills required (ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.)
