Commercial Lending Relationship Officer

Wasatch Peaks Credit Union currently operates 6 branches in Weber County, Utah. Our foundation is a unique one, with 3 Credit Unions merging into one. The last merger occurred about 12 years ago, bringing together Weber, Alliance, and SummitOne Credit Unions. The Role
In this role, you will be an integral part of our Commercial Lending team. You will develop and manage all aspects of commercial client relationships, and maintain the Credit Union's commercial loan portfolio. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to meet goals, and possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong aptitude, the ability to work under pressure, and has outstanding member service skills.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of similar or related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide information to members/applicants concerning the different types of commercial loans offered, including Conventional, SBA, Line of Credit, Equipment, and Business Acquisitions. Provide terms and interest rates, and the documentation needed to be considered for a loan.
• Increase deposit growth based on strategic goals by leveraging personal and business sources, connecting appropriate employees and departments to new opportunities.
• Maintain the commercial loan portfolio, including all correspondence and documentation through the commercial loan underwriting and decision process, and file all related documentation in appropriate information systems.
• Interview commercial loan applicants and obtain all of the necessary documentation to review and make the loan decision.
• Comply with updates and changes to loan programs or procedures. Address questions and resolve disputes with members using knowledge of loan underwriting processes and legal requirements.
• Underwrite and approve smaller commercial loans based on established guidelines in loan policy.
• Timely review and analysis of information resulting from staff input, verification, and maintenance for all loans being processed.
• Be actively involved in Chamber of Commerce and other community organizations and events to build and enhance relationships and presence in the community.

Schedule
This Full-Time position offers 40 hours per week, with hours normally between 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Special events may include weekend or evening hours.

• 2+ years similar or related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred), or equivalent lending experience.
• Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level.
• Must have experience in analyzing business financial statements and assessing the viability of businesses
• Must have excellent communication and PR skills
