We're building a fast-growing hospitality and lifestyle destination where recreation, hospitality, technology, and operational excellence come together in a unique way. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining exceptional water quality, clean facilities, and safe aquatic environments.

The Commercial Pool Maintenance Technician (Lagoon Operations) is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, water quality, and operational readiness of our 5.5-acre surf lagoon and associated aquatic systems. Working overnight while the lagoon is closed, this role performs routine cleaning, water testing, preventative maintenance, and equipment monitoring to ensure the lagoon is ready for daily operations.

This is not a residential pool maintenance position. Experience working with commercial pools, aquatic facilities, water parks, municipal pools, resort pools, or large-scale water treatment systems is required.

  • Adjust water chemistry in accordance with company standards and applicable health regulations
  • Operate and monitor pumps, filtration systems, UV treatment, automated chemical feed systems, and other water treatment equipment
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment issues or maintenance needs
  • Perform preventative maintenance on aquatic systems and equipment
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, water quality records, and inspection documentation

Facility Maintenance

  • Maintain pump rooms, equipment areas, and maintenance spaces in a clean and organized condition
  • Inspect lagoon infrastructure, aquatic equipment, and mechanical systems for wear, damage, or safety concerns
  • Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance as assigned
  • Assist the Facilities team with additional overnight maintenance projects as needed

Safety & Operational Excellence

  • Follow all company safety procedures and chemical handling protocols
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and company water quality standards
  • Ensure the lagoon is fully prepared for daily operations before opening
  • Support a safe, clean, and exceptional guest experience through proactive maintenance and attention to detail

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Previous experience maintaining commercial pools, aquatic facilities, water parks, resort pools, municipal pools, or large-scale water treatment systems required
  • Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification preferred
  • Experience working with commercial pumps, filtration systems, water chemistry, and automated chemical feed equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify maintenance concerns and troubleshoot equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and water quality
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Reliable attendance, dependability, and strong time management skills
  • Comfortable working overnight shifts and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to safely handle pool chemicals and follow established safety procedures
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members across departments

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, as equipment manuals, water testing procedures, technology systems, safety documentation, and shift logs are maintained in English
