POSITION SUMMARY
Pinoleville Pomo Nation is seeking a passionate and community-minded Community Gardener to help expand and strengthen our community garden program. The Community Gardener position is an opportunity to help cultivate food security, community wellness, cultural connection, and self-sufficiency for Tribal citizens and community members.
The Community Gardener will oversee the day-to-day development and maintenance of the community garden while working to expand its size, productivity, and impact. A key component of the Community Gardener position will be identifying and pursuing grants, donations, partnerships, and other funding opportunities that can provide resources for garden improvements, equipment, infrastructure, educational programming, and increased food production.
The ideal Community Gardener is someone who enjoys working outdoors, understands sustainable gardening practices, and is excited about bringing people together around locally grown food. The successful Community Gardener will combine practical gardening skills with creativity, organization, community engagement, and the ability to identify opportunities that can help the garden thrive.
