Caregivers can typically expect to work 8–40 hours per week, depending on availability, client needs, and performance. Weekend and holiday availability is strongly preferred.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Helpers caregiver, you will provide one-on-one support that allows seniors to live safely and comfortably at home.
Caregiver responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Offering medication reminders
- Preparing meals
- Performing light housekeeping and laundry
- Providing transportation to appointments, errands, or activities as needed
- Observing and reporting changes in client condition
- Following individualized care plans
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Communicating professionally with clients, families, and the office team
You will build meaningful relationships with your clients and become someone they trust, depend on, and look forward to seeing.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for caregivers who show up with heart, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
Qualified applicants should have:
- Active Maryland CNA, GNA, or HHA certification
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience
- Current CPR certification
- Negative TB test
- Valid driver’s license
- Current auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to provide two professional references
- Legal authorization to work in the United States with original documentation
- A compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude
