A leading international law firm is seeking an Associate, Senior Associate, or Counsel to join its highly regarded Employee Benefits practice in Atlanta.


This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in focusing on sophisticated health & welfare benefits matters, ERISA compliance, benefits counseling, and benefits-related litigation for a diverse client base that includes public companies, private companies, healthcare organizations, financial institutions, and nonprofit organizations.


The Role


Health & welfare benefits counseling
ERISA compliance and regulatory guidance
HIPAA compliance and privacy matters
COBRA administration and compliance
Mental Health Parity & Addiction Equity Act compliance
Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance and counseling
No Surprises Act compliance and implementation
Benefits-related litigation and dispute resolution
Employee benefits due diligence in corporate transactions
Direct client interaction and substantive responsibility


Ideal Background


• Approximately 3+ years of employee benefits experience
• Significant experience involving health & welfare benefit plans required
• Strong working knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, Mental Health Parity & Addiction Equity Act, and the No Surprises Act
• Experience advising employers, plan sponsors, fiduciaries, and administrators preferred
• Experience with benefits-related litigation, investigations, audits, or regulatory compliance matters is a plus
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Outstanding academic credentials
Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Georgia bar admission preferred or ability to become admitted in Georgia

Compensation


Expected compensation ranges from approximately $240,000 – $425,000+ depending on level (Associate, Senior Associate, or Counsel), experience, and overall qualifications.
