Composite Technicians & Assembly Technicians (Multiple Openings)

Warren, OR (Onsite)

$30-35+ / hr DOE

 

An established advanced manufacturing facility is significantly expanding its production team. We are actively seeking experienced Composites Technicians (Prepreg & Resin Infusion) and Mechanical Assembly Technicians to support growing aerospace, marine, and high-performance industrial programs.

 

If you have hands-on experience working with composite materials, fabric layup, resin infusion processes, or precision mechanical integration, we want to hear from you.

 

Open Positions




  • Composite Layup & Infusion Technicians (7–8 Openings): Specialize in prepreg ply cutting/kitting, manual layup, vacuum bagging, tool preparation, and resin infusion (VARTM/infusion processing).

 



  • Assembly Technicians (1–2 Openings): Focus on precision structural assembly, bonding, hardware installation, drilling/reaming, trimming, and component fit-up.

 

Key Responsibilities




  • Execute hands-on layup of carbon fiber, fiberglass, and core materials using wet layup, prepreg, or vacuum resin infusion techniques.

 



  • Prepare, clean, treat, and seal production molds and tooling.

 



  • Perform debulking, vacuum bagging, leak checks, and oven/autoclave cure monitoring.

 



  • Conduct post-cure demolding, flash trimming, sanding, structural bonding, and final assembly using precision hand and power tools.

 



  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), ply books, and manufacturing work instructions.

 



  • Maintain clean-room/shop-floor 5S standards, material tracking, and quality documentation.






Requirements

Qualifications & Experience




  • Experience: Hands-on background in composites manufacturing, fabrication, fiberglass repair, auto/marine composite work, or aerospace assembly is strongly preferred.

 



  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with carbon fiber, prepregs, vacuum infusion systems, epoxy/vinyl ester resin systems, or structural adhesive bonding.

 



  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to work from work instructions, technical drawings, or process sheets.

 



  • Tooling: Proficient with shop equipment, pneumatic tools, routers, sanders, and precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers).

 



  • Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and a safety-first mindset.
