Snapdragon\u2122 product support includes developing \u0026 delivering world-class documentation, customer training, design reviews, design examples and debugging. \n\nYou will gain exposure to a broad range of state-of-the-art technical and business topics including but not limited to: Product design, System design (Thermal Power, PDN, Signal Integrity, \u0026 High Speed SerDes), Embedded Processors (CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, DSPs) Memory \u0026 Peripherals (DDR, UFS, USB, PCIe, CSI, DSI, DP, Ethernet, etc.) and related Business topics (marketing support, training \u0026 legal topics). \n\nThe Compute hardware applications team provides comprehensive support to all Compute system-on-chip (SoC) products. You will interface with cross-functional internal teams and global applications engineering teams to provide end-to-end customer support ranging from customer training, development and commercialization support, to mass production. We are looking for inquisitive, highly motivated team players with excellent communication skills and an understanding of SoC\u2019s, high speed PCB design and wireless systems. The ability to program in Python or similar languages will be helpful. You will also help bridge customer requirements with internal plan of record, identify gaps in requirements, and propose solutions to mitigate the gaps.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Master\u0027s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.\n\n * 2+ years Hardware Design or Hardware Applications experience or related work experience.\n\n * Familiar with Principals of High Speed PCB Design including transmission lines, pcb stack-up, controlled impedance, EMI/EMC and PDN\n\n * Familiar with SoC interfaces such as LPDDR, MIPI, USB, PCIe, UFS\n\n * Experience with Programming Languages such as Python and/or Vbasic.\n\n\n\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Provide hardware design support to customers to enable efficient high quality product launches\n\n * Research and answer a wide range of in-depth technical questions on Qualcomm SoC\u2019s and associated memory, peripherals and IOs (e.g., LPDDR, UFS, USB, PCIe, CSI, DSI, DP, Ethernet)\n\n * Resolve technical problems via hands-on trouble shooting.\n\n * Perform block diagram, schematic, parts placement, and PCB routing reviews on customer platforms, including DDR, Power Delivery Network, and Signal Integrity simulations.\n\n * Create/Contribute to customer facing Hardware design examples.\n\n * Create and maintain world-class hardware documentation and design collateral.\n\n\n\n\n\u200b\n\nSkills/experience:\n\n * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels.\n\n * Familiarity with complex multi-layered PCB design, schematic, and layout, including power and signal integrity.\n\n * Self-motivated, independent, and works well with large interdisciplinary teams.\n\n * Experience in finding the root cause of hardware system issues.\n\n * Experience in integration, debug, and problem reproduction on internal and customer platforms.\n\n * Experience in Python programming is a plus\n\n\n\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
