POSITION: Concessions Bartender
STATUS: Part-Time/Hourly
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Concessions Manager
POSITION CONCEPT:
To serve the Mission, Vision and Values of REH, Inc. by providing beverage service to guests in accordance with excellent service standards and organizational policies and procedures. This position will be assigned to shifts at any of our venues, including Ruth Eckerd Hall, Bilheimer Capitol Theatre and The BayCare Sound.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Take orders for drinks and snacks.
- Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and concessions patrons.
- Interact with customers professionally and courteously at all times.
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations including responsible pour practices.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Operate point-of-sale system accurately and reconcile receipts and inventory at the end of shift.
- Follow cash control procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or related Food Service Job Experience.
- Training or demonstrated skill in alcohol mixology.
Experiences:
- One year’s experience of similar work.
- Two years’ experience in a customer service environment.
Demonstrated Skills or Knowledge:
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles of teamwork and shared responsibility.
- Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively both orally and in writing.
- Organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of safety and food hygiene regulations related to delivery services.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for periods of time.
- Ability to work outside in various climates.
- Ability to drive.
- Ability to maintain good attendance is a condition of employment and a function of this position.
Other:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work long and irregular hours, including holidays.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
