Concrete Laborer / Finisher

We are seeking a skilled and hardworking Concrete Laborer & Finisher to join our construction team. This position is ideal for an experienced concrete professional who can contribute to all phases of concrete construction, from site preparation and forming through placement, finishing, repair, and cleanup.

The successful candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works well as part of a crew, and is committed to maintaining a safe and productive job site.

Responsibilities

• Assist the crew with all phases of concrete construction, including preparation, demolition, forming, placement, finishing, and cleanup.


• Set forms that hold concrete in place for structures such as sidewalks, curbs, floors, and driveways.


• Place, distribute, level, and finish concrete according to project specifications.


• Perform concrete finishing using appropriate tools and techniques.


• Assist with general labor duties to support efficient job-site operations.


• Use shovels, lutes, rakes, and other hand tools as needed.


• Monitor the effects of weather on concrete curing and take necessary precautions.


• Repair and resurface worn or damaged concrete surfaces.


• Meet daily production goals by understanding and performing various aspects of concrete operations.


• Ensure completed work meets job specifications and quality standards.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.


• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude toward co-workers, customers, and the public.


• Follow all company and job-site safety requirements, policies, and procedures.


• Perform other duties as directed by the Foreman.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of concrete or construction experience preferred.


• 5+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred.


• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


• Class A CDL preferred.


• Knowledge of proper concrete finishing techniques, tools, and safety procedures.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew.


• Ability to travel to job sites as assigned.


• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
