At Northrop Grumman, you \u2019II have the resources, support, and team to do some of the best work of your career.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a results\u2011driven Configuration Manager of Policies and Procedures with experience in continuous improvement and process management to oversee strategic governance of sector principles and operating practices. The successful candidate will also manage the configuration of all processes, steward their direct personnel and resources, and identify improvement opportunities that boost efficiency and rigor. This role will champion a culture of growth, alignment, strategic thinking, and collaboration across the organization.\n\nThis position will be based full-time on-site in Linthicum, MD near the Baltimore area.\n\nWhat You\u0027ll Get To Do:\n\n * Maintain the defined system of internal principles and operating practices (PrOP) to govern and regulate business operations and to ensure compliance with legal, contractual, company, and sector requirements and other external/international standards.\n\n * Control, and ensure currency of documented information (documents, metadata, and associated process records.)\n\n * Advise/consult on new process development.\n\n * Leads the use of emerging technology and innovative methods to continuously streamline and improve organizational processes.\n\n * Advocate and foster implementation and advancement of uniform standards and protocols for process and document consistency.\n\n * Promote cross-sector/-functional coordination to support and drive harmonization and improvement of processes/documents and other enterprise/sector initiatives.\n\n * Process and document content analysis, editing/formatting, version control.\n\n * Will manage and administer the Principles and Operating Practices System repository, including configuration control, system integrity, maintenance of templates, guidance and checklists for documents.\n\n * Provide training, guidance, and information/tools, as needed.\n\n * Maintain archives of documents and supporting process artifacts.\n\n * Promote cross-functional coordination to support intra-sector harmonization of documents to the fullest extent practical.\n\n * Streamline the resolution of process and procedure-related conflicts\n\n * Enterprise \u2013 represent sector and the interests and needs of both sector and enterprise in development of sector and/or enterprise processes and controls.\n\n * Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or Master\u0027s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or 4 years with a PhD of relevant experience.\n\n * 3 years of experience leading cross functional teams or projects\n\n * Strong understanding of complex quality policies, procedures, government regulations and workflow \n\n * Ability to drive change through creating, sustaining, and improving standards and procedures \n\n * Demonstrated ability utilize trend data to inform and drive process improvement.\n\n * Demonstrated ability to implement process change to drive performance improvement\n\n * Strong understanding and experience with configuration management standards and practices\n\n * Demonstrated effectiveness in achieving results through understanding and management of internal customer relationships, prioritization, and delegation of tasks\n\n * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Lean Six Sigma Certification or experience in Continuous Improvement/Root Cause analysis\n\n * Experience performing audits of process implementation\n\n * Experience with Microsoft Visio and SharePoint.\n\n * Experience participating in or supporting process visualization efforts\n\n * Process Management Certification (CBPP, APQC, BPM)\n\n * Knowledge of the government regulations FAR and DFARS.\n\n * Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.\n\n * Previous experience developing tools, processes and procedures.\n\n * Previous experience leading cross functional teams.\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $115,600.00 - $173,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
