Construction Accountant

Roundhouse Construction | Boise, ID | Full-time, on-site | Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm

Roundhouse is hiring a Construction Accountant to own the financial side of our multifamily development projects, from pre-construction budgets through final reconciliation. You'll partner with project managers and leadership on budgets, job cost tracking, vendor payments, and financial reporting. What you'll own

Budgets and cost control

• Partner with project managers to build detailed, cost-effective budgets for each project
• Track job costs across the project lifecycle and incorporate unforeseen costs into the budget
• Research market trends and forecast price changes for construction materials and services

Accounting and payments

• Prepare invoices, forecast cash flow, and sign off on purchase orders
• Process vendor and supplier payments accurately and on time
• Maintain thorough project financial records to support audits and tax compliance

Reporting and risk

• Prepare cost analyses that turn project financial data into clear insight
• Flag financial risks and budget discrepancies to management early to protect budgets and timelines

Vendors and contracts

• Build strong vendor and supplier relationships that support cost-effective procurement
• Manage vendor and supplier contracts so terms align with project budgets and timelines

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of private or public accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of construction cost accounting, job costing, and related financial procedures
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data
• High attention to detail and strong organization
• The ability to present financial information clearly to project managers and leadership

A leg up if you have

• CPA licensure or a construction accounting certification such as CCIFP
• Experience with a developer, owner-builder, or vertically integrated real estate company
• Experience with Procore, Yardi, or similar construction and accounting software
