We’re looking for a Construction Manager who is passionate about delivering complex, utility-scale projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role plays a key part in managing the operational and financial execution of Turn-Key and EPC electrical projects, with a particular focus on high-voltage infrastructure. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy leading field teams through all stages of construction, this opportunity is for you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the field execution of large utility-scale Turn-Key and EPC projects

  • Serve as the primary site contact for client project teams throughout construction

  • Ensure implementation of Project Execution Plans and manage quality to minimize rework

  • Participate in early project planning and enforce adherence to schedules for construction, testing, and commissioning

  • Support the Project Manager in staffing and resource planning for craft and field teams

  • Oversee the selection of tools, materials, and equipment while controlling delivery timelines and cost

  • Foster a proactive safety culture and ensure adherence to RMS Energy’s safety program

  • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships to ensure contract compliance and quality outcomes

  • Conduct QA and safety inspections; verify proper use of equipment and safe conditions

  • Troubleshoot issues and gain consensus on solutions to delays or disruptions

  • Resolve disputes with subs, vendors, or clients to maintain workflow

  • Assist in contingency planning and scheduling to meet deadlines

  • Keep the Project Manager informed on status updates related to safety, quality, risk, and team support

  • Collaborate with the PM on construction budgets, productivity tracking, and scheduling

  • Contribute to monthly forecasting and reporting

  • Lead post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned

  • Track and mitigate recurring field execution issues

The Experience We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years managing field construction for utility-scale generation projects, including high-voltage infrastructure

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional site teams and subcontractors

  • Strong customer service orientation and experience in presenting to stakeholders

  • Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget

  • Skilled in construction scheduling, forecasting, and productivity tracking

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project management tools

  • Experience coordinating with project management, engineering, and field operations

  • Strong understanding of QA/QC practices, risk mitigation, and compliance

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 60% across the U.S.

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests

  • Available for extended and irregular hours as needed

  • Able to work outdoors in all weather, at heights (100+ ft), and around high-voltage equipment and heavy machinery

  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and enduring sustained physical activity

  • Must have clear vision, hearing, and English proficiency for safe and effective communication

Bonus Points for:

  • PMP certification or other project management credentials

  • Prior experience managing electrical construction projects in government (state/federal) contracts
