Terracon has an opportunity for several Construction Materials Technicians to join our team in Lincoln, NE. Our Construction Materials Technician will perform various observations and tests on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel and asphalt. You will communicate with Project Managers, client representatives, contractor’s representatives and other key stakeholders regarding testing and inspection results. Tests are performed on building construction projects in the Lincoln area and in the Terracon laboratories. Successful candidates will receive in-depth technical training and professional certifications as they advance in the position within 1-2 years.

Responsibilities
Under close supervision of higher level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties.
Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
Communicates information to Project Manager and discusses accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.
Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the Project Manager
Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
Maintains assigned equipment.
Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
6 months related experience required.
A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
Required Qualifications:
Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
