Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Embrace ITAC’s Core Values in all aspects of the job.
Provide leadership and oversight for EHS initiatives on various projects.
Assist in the creation and refinement of Site-Specific EHS Plans that comply with regulatory requirements and ITAC standards.
Mentor less experienced EHS Coordinators and serve as a key resource for EHS related queries.
Oversee incident investigations, developing reports and action plans for corrective measures.
Conduct safety training sessions for project managers and field employees, fostering a culture of safety.
Evaluate field operations and implement improvements to enhance safety practices and adherence to regulations.
Conduct routine audits and inspections of projects, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
Perform air quality monitoring, sampling, and analysis as necessary.
Maintain effective communication with other EHS personnel and project teams to convey safety concerns and solutions.
Requirements
Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in safety coordination or related roles, with a focus on the construction industry
Strong understanding of OSHA standards and EHS regulations
Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective safety training and reporting
Proven ability to analyze complex safety incidents and develop effective solutions
Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and compliance
Physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel to various project sites
Certifications and Training Qualifications - Preferred / Desired
OSHA 500 Certification – Outreach trainer
CPR and First Aid certifications
CHST – Certified Safety & Health Technician
CSP – Certified Safety Professional
Other relevant EHS certifications
Bilingual is preferred, not required
