Job Description - Construction Superintendent - Concrete Restoration
Construction Superintendent – Concrete Restoration
Miami-Dade County, FL | Full-Time | Field-Based
An established Florida general contractor with more than 30 years in business is hiring a Construction Superintendent with direct concrete restoration experience. The company’s portfolio includes projects ranging from $1 million to more than $50 million, including long-term, multi-year work. All project assignments are within Miami-Dade County, eliminating out-of-town and overnight travel.
This role may suit a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent ready to advance, or an experienced Superintendent considering a change. Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers with substantial hands-on field-leadership experience will also be considered.
What You’ll Do
Lead daily field operations, crews, subcontractors, vendors, and jobsite activities.
Plan and sequence concrete restoration work while coordinating stucco, waterproofing, coatings, painting, and related trades.
Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, deliveries, inspections, and schedules.
Ensure work meets engineering requirements, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Identify and document field conditions, additional work, schedule concerns, and potential solutions.
Maintain daily reports, progress photographs, as-builts, and project records using construction-management software.
Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, quantity verification, and closeout while coordinating with project managers, engineers, inspectors, clients, and building representatives.
What You Bring
Direct concrete restoration experience on commercial, multifamily, or other occupied-building projects beyond parking-garage-only work.
Previous field-leadership experience as a Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager.
Proven ability to independently lead daily field operations, crews, and subcontractors.
Working knowledge of concrete demolition and chipping, reinforcing-steel treatment, forming, patching or placement, curing, and inspections.
Ability to read plans, specifications, scopes of work, and engineering documents.
Experience maintaining daily reports, progress photographs, as-builts, and other field documentation.
Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, and electronic construction documents.
Preferred Qualifications
High-rise concrete restoration experience is strongly preferred.
Stucco, waterproofing, coatings, painting, façade, or building-envelope experience.
Swing-stage or suspended-scaffold experience.
Procore or Bluebeam experience and OSHA training.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation based on directly relevant concrete restoration experience, high-rise restoration experience, field-leadership ability, and the level of responsibility the candidate can independently manage.
Medical, dental, and life insurance.
Paid vacation and holidays.
Long-term stability with opportunities to assume greater field and project responsibility.
