Job Description - Contract Administrator

Eaton\u2019s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Contract Administrator. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nEaton Mission Systems Davenport Inc. is seeking a Contract Administrator for a Contract Review Team that provides contractual guidance during compliance reviews of purchase orders in accordance with company policies, customer specifications, statements of work, and government regulations; administration of contracts by reviewing and managing contracts, changes in scope, equitable adjustments, helping to ensure contracts are properly structured and executed within budget in accordance with company policies, customer specifications, statements of work, and government regulations. \n \n\n\nThis position is in Davenport Iowa. This position is available for Hybrid Scheduling. \n \nKey Responsibilities:\n\n \n\u2022 Demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise in contract management concepts. \n\u2022 Demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise in the Davenport Business Management System. \n\u2022 Identify and recommend mitigation solutions for onerous terms and conditions. \n\u2022 Advise program and senior management of potential program risks in accordance with the contracts policy, company goals and objectives and customer requirements. \n\u2022 Assist Integrated Production Teams by providing guidance on contractual matters. \n\u2022 Provide guidance on U.S. Government Department of Defense FAR/DFARS/TINA/UCC/CAS/ITAR/EAR and other government procurement regulations. \n\u2022 Provide guidance regarding intellectual property concepts and their application. \n\u2022 Experience working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of high-level contracting activities. \n\u2022 Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills that allow the individual to effectively interface with various levels of management of both internal and external customers. \n\u2022 Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with the ability to mitigate business risk and adhere to corporate compliance. \n\u2022 Prepare customer correspondence as needed to satisfy contractual obligations, communicate exceptions, or resolve disputes. \n\u2022 Evaluate assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, customer specifications, statements of work, and government regulations. \n\u2022 Administration of purchase orders or contracts from order entry to contract closeout. \n\u2022 Perform compliance reviews of purchase orders and ensure alignment with proposal requirements.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Requirements:\n\n \n\u2022 Minimum of 1 year of professional experience with government contracts or subcontract administration. \n\u2022 Minimum of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution. \nOR Military Experience in Lieu of a Degree \nOR an Associates Degree AND a minimum of 1 year of experience with government contracts or subcontract administration. \nOR a High School Diploma AND a minimum of 3 years of experience with government contracts or subcontract administration. \n\u2022 Relocation is not provided. All candidates must currently reside within 70 miles of Eaton\u0027s Davenport IA. facility.\n\n\u2022 All Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now AND in the future.\n\n\u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. \u201cGreen Card Holder\u201d), Political Asylee or Refugee. \n\n\n \nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n \n\u2022 2+ years\u2019 government contract or subcontract administration experience in the defense contractor manufacturing environment. \n\u2022 Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or aerospace and defense company. \n\u2022 Experience with SAP ERP systems. \n\u2022 Knowledge of export regulations. \n\u2022 Knowledge of Aerospace certification requirements and their application. \n\u2022 Knowledge of negotiating price and terms and conditions including reduction of risk through identification of onerous terms and conditions. \n\u2022 Knowledge of FFP (Firm Fixed Price), CPFF (Cost Plus Fixed Fee), T\u0026M (Time and Materials), UCA (Un-definitized Contract Action) contract types in a manufacturing company. \n\u2022 Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. \n\u2022 Excellent interpersonal skills, and excellent internal and external customer interface.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
