Contracts Manager – Data Center Construction

We are working confidentially with a General Contractor delivering a major data center project in the Mobile, Alabama area and are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join the project team.

Recent data center construction experience is essential. Candidates must also have experience working for a General Contractor or Construction Manager.

The Role

The Contracts Manager will take responsibility for contract administration, subcontract management, commercial risk and contractual compliance across the project.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing construction contracts and subcontract agreements
  

• Reviewing scopes of work, contract terms and commercial obligations
  

• Supporting subcontractor procurement, negotiation and award
  

• Managing contract administration throughout the project lifecycle
  

• Managing change orders, claims, notices and contractual correspondence
  

• Identifying scope gaps and contractual risks
  

• Tracking subcontractor compliance and performance
  

• Supporting commercial negotiations with subcontractors and vendors
  

• Managing contract documentation, insurance, bonds and compliance requirements
  

• Supporting cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting
  

• Working closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, Superintendents and procurement teams
  

• Supporting claims management and dispute resolution
  

• Managing contract closeout and final account reconciliation
  

What We’re Looking For

• Recent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential
  

• General Contractor or Construction Manager experience is essential
  

• Experience as a Contracts Manager, Contract Manager, Commercial Manager or Subcontracts Manager
  

• Strong construction contract administration experience
  

• Experience managing subcontracts and subcontractor agreements
  

• Strong knowledge of change orders, claims and commercial negotiations
  

• Experience with procurement and subcontractor management
  

• Strong understanding of construction scopes and contract documentation
  

• Experience managing commercial and contractual risk
  

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
  

• Experience on large-scale ground-up construction projects
  

• Ability to work full-time on site in the Mobile, Alabama area
