Controller

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations for a growing organization. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic financial oversight with day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Lead accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, financial reporting and month-end/year-end close

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, budgets and cash flow

  
  


• 
  

  Oversee job costing, cost accounting, WIP and profitability analysis

  
  


• 
  

  Develop and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies and procedures

  
  


• 
  

  Partner with executive leadership on financial planning and business decisions

  
  


• 
  

  Identify opportunities for process improvements and greater financial efficiency

  
  


• 
  

  Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate audits, tax matters and external financial relationships

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  
  


• 
  

  8+ years of progressive accounting experience

  
  


• 
  

  5+ years of accounting/finance leadership experience

  
  


• 
  

  Strong GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting and cash flow knowledge

  
  


• 
  

  Advanced Excel and accounting/ERP systems experience

  
  


• 
  

  Experience in a project-based, construction, contracting, home services or similar environment strongly preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with job costing, WIP, inventory and/or cost accounting preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Sage Intacct or similar ERP experience a plus

  
  


• 
  

  CPA or advanced degree a plus
