The Company is a manufacturing company headquartered in Irwindale, CA, with two locations. Backed by private equity and on a profitable, high-growth trajectory, the Company treats disciplined financial management as a core pillar of its growth strategy.
The Opportunity
The Controller is a pivotal role in the Company’s finance organization. Reporting to the CFO and partnering directly with the CEO, you will own the fundamentals — reporting integrity, the monthly close, internal controls, and the accounting team — while gaining direct insight into the strategic decisions shaping the business. This is not a back-office role. You will partner cross-functionally with Operations, Commercial, and Human Resources to turn financial data into insights that drive how the Company grows, and you will play a central role in delivering the accurate, timely reporting that lenders and our private equity sponsor rely on. The right candidate will be energized by building, improving, and influencing — and will find significant opportunity for career growth within a PE-backed platform.

Prepare the monthly financial reporting package for leadership, lenders, and the private equity sponsor, including variance commentary
Drive continuous improvement in close and reporting processes, reducing cycle time and increasing accuracy
Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, partnering with leaders across Operations, Commercial, and Human Resources to align budgets with strategic objectives
Monitor performance against budget and forecast, providing clear insights and recommendations to the CFO and CEO
Provide financial analysis to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and value-creation initiatives
Cost Accounting & Inventory
Maintain the integrity of standard costs and routings within the ERP system to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation
Identify cost-reduction and efficiency opportunities across manufacturing operations in partnership with Operations and FP&A

Internal Controls, Audit & Compliance
Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
Ensure compliance with lender covenants and reporting requirements, including timely covenant calculations and compliance certificates
