Controller, Senior

Job Description:

A leading Private Equity firm seeking a Corporate Accountant to fill a senior level position. The ideal candidate will hold an advanced Accounting degree, preferably a CPA. This position is involved with various aspects of corporate accounting, financial reporting, business planning and accounting and financial analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Researching and interpreting FASB standards and SEC guidance, and ensuring that the transaction is properly recorded in the general ledger.
  
• Assist in the preparation of any ad hoc analyses requested by Management.
  
• Effectively work and communicate with team to ensure established deadlines are being met in an efficient manner.
  
• Present information, ideas and recommendations clearly and concisely.
  
• Responsible for reviewing the day-to-day accounting for the Company’s Debt and
• Preferred Equity Investment portfolio to ensure that it is accurate and complete.
  
• Assist in the preparation of publicly filed documents (10Ks/10Qs and the supplemental package
  
• Preparing financial statements, preparing footnote disclosures and preparing sections of MD&A.

Job Requirements:

• BS Accounting degree (CPA preferred)
  
• 5-8 years of experience in Accounting
  
• Strong attention to detail and precise methodology of reporting.
  
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to execute.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills

Compensation:

• $140,000 - $180,000
