Cook

SUMMARY

Under the immediate supervision of the kitchen Lead, the Cook is responsible for performing any combination of duties necessary to facilitate food service and maintain a clean kitchen and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Cook food orders promptly.
• Receive merchandise and stocks.
• Clean grill, fryer, counters, dishes, and mop floors.
• Must comply with all food safety and health regulations.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure all temperature and food safety logs are completed daily.
• Maintain accurate stock & inventory.
• Other duties may be assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of food preparation.
• Knowledge of grill, fryer, slicer, and other kitchen equipment preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Must be able to work in an environment containing excessive noise.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, or pull for long periods.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a current Health Card or be able to obtain a Health Card

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred 
• 2-year work experience in a related field, line or grill cook is preferred.
