The Cascade Hotel is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Food preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion control, and quality standards.
• Station Management: Operate assigned station efficiently during service, ensuring all food is prepared and presented correctly.
• Sanitation & Safety: Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Inventory & Stocking: Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ensuring all ingredients are properly labeled.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with culinary team to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
• Quality Control: Consistently deliver dishes that meet Cascade Hotel's standards in taste, appearance, and timing.
•  Equipment Maintenance: Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance needs.
• Special Events Support: Assist in preparing food for banquets, catered events, and special hotel functions as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs, and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Culinary training certification is a plus but not required
