The Store Manager is responsible for the overall management, supervision, and operation of the Contractor Operated Parts Store (COPARS) supporting the United States Air Force 75th Logistics Readiness Squadron (75 LRS), Vehicle Management Flight, at Hill Air Force Base. The Store Manager provides day-to-day leadership of all COPARS operations and serves as the primary on-site management representative for Logistic Specialties, Inc. (LSI).
The Store Manager ensures continuous, responsive customer service while managing procurement, inventory, warehousing, receiving, issuing, reporting, quality assurance, supplier performance, and personnel in accordance with contract requirements, applicable Air Force instructions, and company policies.
Manager Responsibilities
Contract Management
Manage all daily COPARS operations in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), company policies, and applicable federal regulations.
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact with the Government Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), Vehicle Management personnel, and other authorized Government representatives.
Ensure contract compliance with all technical, operational, safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements.
Maintain uninterrupted store operations during all required business hours and designate a qualified alternate when absent, as required by the PWS.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management
Direct procurement of automotive, commercial, heavy equipment, specialty vehicle, and industrial repair parts from authorized suppliers.
Manage inventory levels to maximize parts availability while minimizing excess inventory.
Review inventory usage trends and establish appropriate stocking levels.
Monitor backorders and expedite critical requirements to minimize vehicle downtime.
Ensure proper receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and inventory accountability of Government and contractor-managed inventory.
Customer Service
Ensure prompt and accurate counter service for authorized Government personnel.
Resolve customer issues and provide technical assistance regarding parts identification, sourcing, and availability.
Coordinate emergency procurement actions to support mission-critical vehicle maintenance requirements.
Personnel Leadership
Supervise COPARS personnel, including parts specialists, warehouse personnel, and delivery drivers.
Prepare work schedules that ensure adequate staffing at all times.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve employee performance.
Procurement
Develop and maintain supplier relationships with OEMs and commercial distributors.
Ensure purchases comply with contract pricing requirements and approved supplier agreements.
Monitor procurement performance metrics including fill rates, delivery times, pricing, and supplier responsiveness.
