A nationally recognized Am Law 50 firm is seeking a Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with transactional experience who is looking to work on sophisticated mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, and strategic business matters for a diverse national client base.

Qualifications

• 
  

  J.D. from an accredited law school

  
  


• 
  

  Active Illinois bar admission or ability to become admitted in Illinois

  
  


• 
  

  3-4 years of corporate transactional experience

  
  


• 
  

  Experience handling mergers and acquisitions transactions is required

  
  


• 
  

  Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent interpersonal skills

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent academic credentials

  
  

What You'll Do

• 
  

  Represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions

  
  


• 
  

  Draft and negotiate purchase agreements and related transaction documents

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct due diligence and assist with transaction structuring

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate transaction workstreams and manage deal timelines

  
  


• 
  

  Advise clients on corporate governance and general business matters

  
  


• 
  

  Work directly with clients and senior attorneys on sophisticated transactions
