Salary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Estimator to prepare accurate product cost estimates for upholstered seating furniture. This role works closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and Production to ensure competitive pricing, accurate BOMs, and cost-effective manufacturing.
Location: Greenville, NC
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates for new and existing products.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Estimate material and labor costs.
- Review engineering drawings and product specifications.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to verify supplier pricing.
- Support Sales with customer quotations.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain costing data and support engineering changes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in cost estimating, product costing, purchasing, or manufacturing.
- Experience creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and labor costing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
$23 - $26 an hour
Pay: $23–$26/hr (DOE)
