What you'll do

  Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop accurate and reliable project estimates.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform quantity takeoffs, material takeoffs, and scope reviews with a high level of accuracy.

  
  


• 
  

  Request, collect, and organize pricing from subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners.

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare bid comparisons and assist with bid leveling throughout the estimating process.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate and organized Excel cost sheets, updating estimates as project information evolves.

  
  


• 
  

  Identify scope gaps, inconsistencies, and missing information, communicating findings clearly to the project team.

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare professional estimating reports, presentations, and bid documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate directly with subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners by phone and email during regular U.S. Central Time business hours.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate closely with the Texas-based team to support estimating, bidding, and preconstruction activities.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality, organization, and timely delivery.

  
  


• 
  

  Contribute to continuous improvements in estimating processes and workflows.

  
  

What you must have

• 
  

  Proven experience as a Construction Cost Estimator on commercial construction projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience preparing detailed construction cost estimates, material takeoffs, and quantity calculations.

  
  


• 
  

  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience maintaining detailed cost sheets and estimating documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Confidence communicating professionally by phone and email with subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent spoken and written English.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to identify and clearly communicate scope gaps, inconsistencies, and missing information.

  Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a U.S.-based team.

  Experience with construction estimating and quantity takeoff software such as Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, Procore, or similar tools.

  Familiarity with PowerPoint or other presentation software.

  Experience preparing bid comparisons and supporting bid leveling processes.

  Previous experience coordinating directly with subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners throughout the bidding process.
