Creative Services Specialist

Title: Creative Services Specialist

Reports To: Director of Communications

Hours:  20 hours/week, non-exempt

Position Summary:

The Creative Services Specialist will use their skills in social media, videography, and photography to uphold the brand standards and creative identity of Cove Church and share the message of Jesus Christ

Requirements:

Doctrinal/Theological:

• Must agree with Cove Church Ministries’ doctrinal standards as found in the Faith and Practice.

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• A heart for the local church, a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion to use creative arts to reach others


• Degree in communications, media, or related field, or at least 2-4 years’ experience in communications


• Basic skills in creating and editing graphics, video and photos, and the willingness to continue developing new skills in these areas.


• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, is preferred


• Ability to work well with volunteer teams


• Creative thinking


• Excellent written and oral communication skills


• Proven ability to take projects from beginning to end


• Organization and ability to manage multiple projects


• Bias for action, focus, passion, and initiative. Takes appropriate action when something needs to be done

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media

• Social media content creation and interaction for Cove Church accounts


• Creatively build followings on various social media outlets including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube


• Track key metrics and adjust strategies accordingly


• Provide guidance on trends and future opportunities

Videography & Photography

• Shoot, edit, and deliver videos and photos for use in various environments


• Build and oversee teams for video and photography volunteers

Graphic Design

• Create and edit graphics for use in various environments as needed.
