Job Summary:
The primary role of this position is to be responsible for crude operation, back office and assist trade, including scheduling, managing loading/discharging operation, handling the invoices and any relevant claims. This position will involve closely supporting the colleagues to ensure organizational effectiveness and day-to-day office operations as a team and independently.
Essential Functions (Duties that are fundamental to the role and must be performed on-site)
· Manage schedule and general operation of purchased crude oil
· Review contracts and negotiate terms
· Assign loading dates and determine required volumes
· Conduct vessel clearance for loading and discharging terminals
· Coordinate and operate in all aspects of loading and discharging cargoes
· Coordinate and manage the relevant invoices and claims
· Organize any related documents and e-files
· Handle claims (demurrage, volume, quality, etc.)
· Process KYC to register new vendors
· Support diversification preservation and FTA tariff refunds
· Responsible for cargo payment
· Assist accounting, financial reports and month-end closing
· Coordinate with Treasury office in HQ
· Trading Data Analysis and Market Intelligence
· Physical Crude Trading Assistant
· Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· In-depth understanding of daily operations
· Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel
· Communication and Co-work with Korean Staff in HQ (Korea)
· Ability to work with Customer service-driven, hospitality mind with an overall professional demeanor
· Ability to interact with employees of all levels
· Must be able to commute during work hours for any work-related duties
· Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
· Demonstrate attention to detail
· Time management skills
· Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
· Demonstrate organization and planning skills
Physical & On-Site Requirements
· This position is performed entirely on-site at the Houston, TX office.
· Regular, predictable, and punctual on-site attendance during standard business hours is an essential function of the job.
· Must be able to operate standard office equipment, handle and organize physical files, and move between departments.
· Ability to lift and carry office supplies, files, and packages weighing up to 20 lbs.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree (Major in international business-related fields such as trade, finance, accounting, business/ economics, English, etc.)
· Bilingual in Korean is required
· Must be eligible to work in the U.S. legally without visa sponsorship
