Ct Technologist-Lead

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technologists.


• ARRT registered in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and Computed Tomography (CT).


• Current Iowa Permit to Practice.


• Current American Heart Association (AHA) HeartCode BLS certification required. New employees must obtain certification within three (3) months of hire.


• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.


• Demonstrates empathy, professionalism, tact, and kindness when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers.


• Ability to coordinate and maintain an organized, efficient, and effective workflow.


• Ability to rotate between CT and X-ray services and perform examinations according to physician orders, established protocols, and department standards.


• Demonstrates knowledge of CT and general radiography procedures, protocols, equipment, contrast administration, radiation safety, and applicable regulatory requirements.


• Ability to ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality throughout the imaging process.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.


• Ability to assist with training, mentoring, and supporting CT/X-ray technologists and other department staff.


• Ability to identify workflow, equipment, or patient-care concerns and assist with timely resolution or escalation when appropriate.


• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.


• Willingness to stay current with advances in CT and X-ray technology, imaging practices, protocols, and regulatory requirements.


• Willingness to complete additional education, training, or certifications as required by the department.
