Customer Innovation Center Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on Customer Innovation Center (CIC) Manager to lead the operations, strategy, and customer engagement activities of our Rock Hill CIC. This facility serves as a customer-facing demonstration and benchmarking center, where additive manufacturing experts develop and validate real-world applications that showcase the quality, performance, and business value of our 3D printing solutions.

In this role, you will oversee CIC operations, technical and quality resources, customer benchmarking projects, and cross-functional collaboration while helping customers bridge the gap between prototype validation and scaled manufacturing. You will also ensure the CIC operates as an effective showroom, innovation hub, and technical resource for internal and external stakeholders.

This position requires strong manufacturing leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for delivering compelling customer experiences. Travel is approximately 10-20%.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead daily operations of the Rock Hill CIC, including staffing, scheduling, capacity planning, inventory, safety, quality, and equipment maintenance.

• Manage customer benchmarking projects, ensuring parts are delivered on time, within quality standards, and aligned with customer requirements.

• Partner with Sales, Applications Engineering, Product Management, and other stakeholders to support customer engagement and business growth.

• Coordinate CIC resources across multiple projects and stakeholders.

• Implement and maintain quality systems and operational processes to drive efficiency and consistency.

• Deliver customer demonstrations, workshops, training sessions, and application reviews that highlight 3D printing capabilities and value.

• Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing technical team.

• Collaborate with other CIC locations to share best practices and improve operational performance.

• Manage external partners and suppliers supporting post-processing and value-added services.

• Support product development efforts by providing customer feedback and real-world application insights.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5-7+ year's of manufacturing operations experience. 
•  Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, operational metrics, and continuous improvement. 
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, model development, or production environments. 
• Experience leading teams and managing operational resources. 
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software is a plus. 
• Additive manufacturing experience (SLA,SLS,MJP,DLP, etc.) preferred.
• Experience managing manufacturing service bureaus or contract manufacturing operations is a plus.
