Description

 Under the general supervision of the Program Director and Site Program Coordinator, the CVI/Justice Development Portfolio Program Associate provides detail-oriented administrative and program support and executes the day-to-day operational activities. This position supports the administrative work in the offices of the agency in Southwest, Calumet City, or Cicero/Berwyn.

  • Provide detail-oriented administrative and program support, and execute the day-to-day operational activities.
  • Support the administrative and program work in the offices of the agency in the Southwest, Calumet City, or Cicero/Berwyn.
  • Assist the program coordinators to meet deadlines and ensure successful programming to meet deliverables.
  • Responsible for collecting data, reporting, and event support monthly.
  • Complete intake and assessment when needed to support incoming participants.
  • Function effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Complete projects with minimal supervision while updating Program Director and/or Coordinator on progress of tasks.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
  • Interacts with external callers, visitors, and clients in addition to all levels of staff.
  • Handles correspondence, postage, and general office duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

High School education required; Associate degree preferred.

Experience:

At least two to four years of responsible administrative and program support experience. 

Other:

  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups.
  • Outstanding communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Great integrity and a proven ability to operate as a team player.

Key Competencies:

  • Competent in Microsoft Office tools and inputting services in an online database.
  • Bilingual/Bi-cultural in English and Spanish preferred.  

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain stationary at 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to frequently move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer, and printer.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
  • Frequently moves desks, chairs, tables, easels, and children's toys.
  • At times may be required to lift to 25 lbs. for various classrooms and event needs.
  • Frequently moves in outdoor weather conditions.
