D365 WMS Senior Functional Consultant

Position Summary:

As a Senior D365 F&SCM Functional Consultant – Supply Chain, you will work directly with enterprise clients to evaluate existing operational models, identify process gaps, and deliver tailored ERP strategies. In this role, you will leverage deep functional knowledge across supply chain management, warehousing, and trade logistics to guide clients from initial solution design through full system deployment and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end implementation lifecycle, from requirement discovery and solution architecture to configuration, testing, and deployment.

• Collaborate with business owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex operational needs into clear, scalable functional designs.

• Assess existing business workflows against standard Microsoft Dynamics functionality to minimize unnecessary customizations where possible.

• Apply established Agile and Waterfall consulting frameworks, standard project artifacts, and documentation practices to deliver high-quality outcomes.

• Maximize the use of Microsoft cloud platform tools, ALM resources, and lifecycle management applications to streamline testing and delivery.

• Facilitate client decision-making during design phases and draft clear Functional Design Documents (FDDs) to direct technical development.

• Plan, facilitate, and execute Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system functionality prior to go-live.

• Train client teams and key end-users to ensure seamless adoption, operational continuity, and effective long-term system maintenance.

• Provide post-deployment functional support, help troubleshoot escalated system issues, and assist with ongoing client optimization initiatives.

• Contribute best practices, reusable templates, and domain expertise to internal knowledge repositories and practice development tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Strong hands-on implementation experience with D365 F&SCM (specifically Supply Chain, WMS, and Trade & Logistics modules) across core business processes like Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash.

• Proven experience utilizing Azure DevOps, managing Agile/Waterfall project workflows, creating FDDs, and traveling up to 50% as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated D365 F&SCM experience with a track record of 10+ full-lifecycle enterprise implementations.

• Prior experience managing data migrations via the Data Management Framework and mentoring cross-functional project teams.

• Demonstrated success working within global, multicultural, or cross-time-zone environments.
