Dairy Supervisor

The Dairy Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dairy department, ensuring product availability, inventory accuracy, food safety compliance, and exceptional customer service. This role leads department associates, maintains merchandising standards, and drives sales performance while ensuring the freshness and quality of dairy products.

• Supervise daily activities within the dairy department.


• Ensure dairy cases, coolers, and displays are fully stocked, clean, and organized.


• Monitor product freshness, expiration dates, and proper product rotation (FIFO).


• Maintain adequate inventory levels and coordinate replenishment orders.


• Minimize shrink, spoilage, and product loss.

• Train, coach, and supervise dairy department associates.


• Develop work schedules and assign daily tasks.


• Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing feedback.


• Foster a positive, customer-focused work environment.

• Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.


• Receive and verify deliveries for accuracy and quality.


• Execute merchandising plans, promotions, and seasonal displays.


• Analyze sales performance and adjust inventory to meet customer demand.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and company policies.


• Monitor and document cooler temperatures.


• Maintain sanitation standards for equipment, storage areas, and displays.


• Ensure proper handling and storage of all dairy products.

• Provide exceptional service to customers and address inquiries promptly.


• Resolve customer concerns regarding products or department operations.


• Assist customers with product selection and recommendations.


• Support company initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.
