DARK MEAT TRIMMER - grade 4

SUMMARY:   The purpose of the dark meat trimmer is to trim any bones and cartilage out of the meat and send it back through the X-Ray machine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Grab the thighs after they fall out of the chute.
• Style the thighs on the X-Ray belt to where they are 3 fingers apart.
• Inspect leg meat that is sent back by the X-Ray for bones/cartilage.
• Trim any bones and cartilage out and send the meat back through the X-Ray.
• Keep up with the production flow.
• All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not have supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Required
  • None
• Preferred
  • Previous food processing experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
