Your team is at the forefront of the AI revolution, driving the Open Agent Specification and Graal Cloud Application technology stack, including the Multilingual Engine (MLE). Your expertise will be instrumental in creating cutting-edge solutions that revolutionize how businesses utilize data.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

 

• Lead the architecture and design of AI-powered database applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Stay updated with the latest AI and database technologies, researching and evaluating new tools and frameworks.
• Develop and maintain robust, high-quality code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
• Ensure seamless integration of AI models and algorithms into the database platform, optimizing performance.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the overall code quality.
• Document and communicate technical designs, ensuring clear and concise understanding within the team.
• Identify and address technical debt, proposing and implementing solutions to improve system stability.

 

Data Systems Software Development

• Drive group-level architecture for customer-facing platforms on Oracle Database (multi-region analytics, low-latency APIs).

• Standardize experiment design and metric taxonomies to link features to revenue, adoption, and retention.

• Lead re-platforming or data strategy initiatives that unlock new monetization or growth vectors.

• Architect existing and innovative new services.

Software Development and Coding – Design, Testing, and Optimization 

• Steer strategic decision-making processes to design software solutions and identify and analyze requirements.

• Write and define foundational code for new projects or prototypes.

• Adhere to and improve execution of all phases of the software development lifecycle; coach and define best practices across teams or units to drive improvements.

• Act as a thought leader within the organization to drive the development of new software features and enhancements. Ensure accessibility, and develop documents to clarify software design and code.

• Lead and drive improvements in process, architecture, and code reviews across products/services.

• Utilize strategy and innovation in debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix highly complex and/or ambiguous software issues.

• Utilize a proactive and visionary approach to define and influence all levels of software testing (e.g., functional and non-functional), quality assurance processes, observability, proof of concepts and feasibility.

• Innovate methods to conduct performance profiling and optimization of products/services.

• Resolve or re-architect highly complex and systematic issues related to API functionality and integration.

• Execute advanced solutions to implement API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.

Software Architecture – Software System Structural Design 

• Influence and support the design and development of software, systems, and services.

• Define project or design scope; review, influence, and approve scope and design recommendations.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to provide technical guidance, domain expertise, and coaching in software architecture decisions and best practices, including evolving industry standards.

• Conduct highly complex periodic reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to align and build software architecture with business and/or customer goals and priorities.

• Implement modern/emerging performance optimization and scalability strategies.

• Conduct regular technology research and evaluation for architectural enhancements with long-term organizational impact.

Issue/Defect Collaboration – Software Products Support 

• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to orchestrate efforts to understand customer issues, root causes, and mitigations and to explain rationale behind solutions.

• Provide modern/emerging technical guidance and support to customers regarding reported issues.

• Advocate for customers' interests and proactively suggest product enhancements and solutions based on feedback and insights.

• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of issues and effective communication.

• Develop strategic and innovative solutions for customer issue and/or defect handling and training.

• Recommend systematic/architectural solutions to complex and broadly-reaching product maintenance issues.

Practices and Standards Compliance – Security and Compliance 

• Collaborate with the security team and across business lines to establish, follow, and improve development practices and coding standards, coaching less experienced team members.

• Participate in peer review processes, provide technical leadership, and ensure quality and adherence to acceptance criteria.

• Share comprehensive expertise in industry best practices and their application to software development processes.

• Implement secure software development practices/solutions to resolve and prevent security vulnerabilities, leveraging automation as needed.

Development Operations – System Maintenance

• Steer strategic decision-making for periodic maintenance and testing operations for systems that require upgrading or patching.

• Drive improvements, ensure automation, testing, and debugging of systems for service/product availability, health, and reliability.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $169,800 to $355,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
