Day Porter

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Day Porter to help maintain a clean and organized environment in our call center. This position is crucial in ensuring a comfortable and professional workspace for our employees and clients.

Job Summary:

The Day Porter at North End Teleservices will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the call center, with a primary focus on the men's and women's restrooms and break rooms. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, and take pride in creating a welcoming and hygienic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Restroom Maintenance:
  
  
  
  • Clean and sanitize restroom facilities regularly.
  
  
  • Restock restroom supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
  
  
  • Ensure that restroom fixtures are in good working condition and report any maintenance issues.
  
  
  
  


• Break Room Maintenance:
  
  
  
  • Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and countertops in the break rooms.
  
  
  • Empty and clean garbage receptacles.
  
  
  • Maintain a clean and organized appearance in break rooms.
  
  
  
  


• General Cleaning:
  
  
  
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming common areas.
  
  
  • Clean glass surfaces and mirrors as needed.
  
  
  
  


• Waste Management:
  
  
  
  • Properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
  
  
  • Monitor and replace trash bags as necessary.
  
  
  
  


• Supply Inventory:
  
  
  
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and restroom/break room supplies.
  
  
  • Report supply needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  
  
  
  


• Compliance and Safety:
  
  
  
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  
  
  • Follow company policies and procedures related to cleaning and maintenance.
  
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is a plus.


• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.


• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.


• Excellent time management and organizational skills.


• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.


• Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols and practices.

Working Conditions:

• This position involves working in an indoor office environment.


• Physical effort, including lifting and bending, is required.


• Day Porter may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and odors.
