Howard Building Maintenance is hiring a full-time Day Porter to help maintain professional office environments in Downtown Boise. If you enjoy staying active, take pride in your work, and like variety throughout your day, this could be a great fit for you.

Our office and many of our cleaning locations are conveniently located right off the freeway, making commuting simple and accessible.

This position is much more than “just cleaning.” Many days include a combination of janitorial work, supply management, facility walkthroughs, inspections, and helping ensure buildings remain clean, organized, and running smoothly. It’s a great role for someone who enjoys independence, structure, and a fast-moving workday.

What You’ll Be Doing

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom cleaning
• Restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels
• Facility inspections and building walkthroughs
• Trash removal and maintaining clean common areas
• Assisting with deliveries and supply organization
• Reporting maintenance or cleanliness concerns
• Helping maintain a professional appearance throughout office spaces

No two days are exactly the same, which makes this position perfect for someone who enjoys variety and staying busy.

• Full-time schedule is non-negotiable

Pay & Benefits

Pay for this position is $16.00–$17.00 per hour DOE (depending on experience).

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to work the full Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleaning standards
• Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day
• Positive attitude and professional communication skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive cleaning duties
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to learn company procedures and follow safety protocols
• Prior janitorial or cleaning experience is preferred, but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate
