LEM Trucking is hiring for a Class A CDL Truck Driver position in Rockford, Illinois, operating regional freight between Illinois and North Dakota. This position provides a defined running area for drivers who prefer knowing the territory they will regularly cover instead of operating across a constantly changing nationwide network.

Drivers average approximately 2,200 to 3,000 miles each week and return home for a scheduled 34 hour reset every week. Regular freight movement between the two areas provides the mileage needed to build productive weeks while maintaining consistent home time.

What to Expect on the Road

Freight is no touch and consists primarily of drop and hook assignments. Some scheduled live unload appointments may also be included depending on the route.

A Class A CDL Truck Driver should be comfortable operating regularly between Illinois and North Dakota and managing the seasonal driving conditions that can occur throughout this region.

• $1,250 to $1,500 average weekly earnings

Weekly earnings depend on mileage and verified driving experience. A minimum pay program may also be available to qualified drivers based on experience and eligibility.

Equipment, Benefits, and Orientation

Each Class A CDL Truck Driver operates late model equipment from International, Freightliner, or Kenworth. Trucks are maintained regularly to support dependable operation throughout the regional network.

Eligible drivers have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance along with participation in a 401(k) retirement plan. Paid orientation is provided, with qualifying hotel accommodations and travel expenses covered.

Class A CDL Truck Driver Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL and have at least 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience within the previous three years. Candidates must meet applicable DOT qualification standards and company safety requirements.
