Delivery Driver

Position Summary

The Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes in a safe driving manner, checking in orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our client base.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses on assigned route in a safe, timely manner

· Complete any needed deliveries/pickups outside of typically assigned routes

· Contact Logistics Manager or Receiving Warehouse Manager when pickups are made so Cleveland can be notified

· Contact Logistics Manager or sales associate when there are any issues with deliveries

· Report to work at the scheduled time and in the Euro USA uniform and any navigation devices

· Check in orders to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied

· Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles

· Accept payments on occasion

· Provide excellent customer service

· Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules

· Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record including E-logs when required 

· Maintain cleanliness of truck cab and refrigerated box

· Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries

· Obtain customer signature acknowledging delivery and note on the invoice any product not on truck, damaged or refused

· Check in at end of shift with QC (Quality Control) Manager regarding returned product and pallets

· Perform loader/wrapper duties, as needed

o Wrap pallets of items pulled and staged.

o Maintain an organized dock area to ensure proper loading and safety.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Valid driver's license with clean driving record

· CDL-A/B or C  may be required to operate certain vehicles

· Minimum one year of experience required

· Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and DOT regulations

· Strong time management and customer service skills

· Must possess a positive and professional attitude

· Attention to detail

Working Conditions

· Required to move/lift up to 85 lbs.

· Driver will be outside in all weather conditions

· Sitting, driving, lifting, and carrying up to 85 lbs. for an extended period of time

· Climbing stairs while lifting and carrying up to 85 lbs. necessary at some customer locations

· Position spends 6 – 8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing and sitting.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
