Dental Assistant

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking for an enthusiastic clinical coordinator/dental assistant to complement our team at Family Dental Center! If you have a teamwork approach and outstanding attitude, we would like to meet you!

Responsibilities include:

• 
  Sterilize instruments and disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA regulations.


• 
  Set up and tear down rooms.


• 
  Treat/assist patients in the overflow columns. 


• 
  Assist dentist with clinical treatment in the absence of one of the full-time assistants.


• 
  Monitor schedules and keep the flow of office moving by seating patients, obtaining x-rays when others are running behind, or help wherever needed.


• 
  Educate patients on treatment and follow-up care instructions.


• 
  Accurately document and store patient records in compliance with state and federal requirements, including the HIPAA privacy and security regulations.  


• 
  Send and monitor lab cases.


• 
  Monitor inventory so that supplies in treatment rooms/central are stocked.


• 
  Track cases and referrals to completion.  


• 
  Assist coworkers as needed.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent
Graduate of accredited dental assisting program (or current student)
Radiology and CPR certified
Experience with Dentrix a plus
