Job Description - Dental Assistant

Responsibilities



  • Ensure patient comfort from check-in to check-out

  • Educate patients about the oral systemic connection, treatment needs, post-op instructions, and what to expect during procedures

  • Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed for procedures

  • Execute your part to completion in each office process to set your surrounding team members up for success (and they'll do the same for you!)

  • Sterilize instruments according to state regulation and office standards

  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry

  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed

  • Keep rooms clean and well-stocked

  • Take quality radiographs using the ALARA principle

  • Maintain impeccable patient records



Skills



  • Prior dental assisting experience

  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

  • Understanding of health & safety regulations

  • Intermediate-to-advanced Word Processing Skills

  • Intermediate Computer Skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Well-organized

  • DANB radiology certificate

  • Hiring Preference given to candidates who have graduated from an assisting program

  • Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)

*** Our practice is located in Center Harbor, NH. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday - no nights, no weekends. This full-time opportunity offers a benefits package and competitive pay.
