Cedar Wellness Center is a Tribally owned clinic that treats a diverse population of patients, including Native and Non-Native people. We have the opportunity to provide whole person care, while managing patient substance use disorders, primary care, mental health needs, and dental care. We are building a team of dedicated and compassionate individuals. The dental hygienist is a contracted position and will work with the rest of our dental team to help deliver comprehensive dental care.
This is a part-time, contract position with an irregular and intermittent schedule. Work hours, days, and frequency are flexible and negotiable, starting at one day per month.
Cedar Wellness Center is seeking to hire a Dental Hygienist who loves taking on a challenge and being part of an aligned, committed team. We are looking for a Dental Hygienist who demonstrates patience and compassion since our clinic often sees patients when they are feeling their worst. As a Tribally owned clinic providing whole-person care, it is important that our staff believe in our patients so they can learn to believe in themselves. A non-judgmental approach is key.
While a kind heart is a requirement, an organized mind is also needed for this position. As a Dental Hygienist, you will provide routine cleanings—including scaling, polishing, and plaque removal—while assessing oral health to report vital findings to the dentist. You will be responsible for taking and developing X-rays, applying preventative treatments such as fluoride and sealants, and educating a diverse population of patients on proper hygiene techniques. Maintaining accurate records is crucial as our program is built on a scientific approach to addiction medicine and this clinic is highly regulated by credentialing agencies. If you are committed to creating big-picture change, have an eye for details, understand that standard protocols are essential, and like to work effectively in a team environment, we look forward to speaking with you.
