Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled dental hygienist to join our client's dynamic dental team. They have built an excellent reputation in the community for many years now. They're offering a very flexible schedule from 1 day per week up to 5 days per week, depending on preference. They're also flexible on what hours of the day you'd like to work.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care and oral health education, with comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and dental software systems. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality preventive dental services, supporting patient comfort, and ensuring adherence to all safety and confidentiality standards. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a welcoming environment that promotes optimal oral health outcomes for our diverse patient community. This is a traditional family office, with a mix of FFS and PPOs. No Medicaid and no HMOs.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, to promote optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring proper technique and patient safety protocols.
• Provide comprehensive patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Assist the dentist during various procedures through chairside assisting, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
• Manage dental equipment operation and troubleshooting to support smooth clinical operations.
• Support the team in managing documentation review, medical coding, and billing processes related to dental care services.
