Dermatopathologist - AMP

Dermatopathologist – Altamonte Springs, FL

​Our laboratory located in Altamonte Springs, FL is looking to add a Dermatopathologist to a small team of two pathologists in a high volume, collaborative practice. We are seeking a candidate that is board certified in anatomic and/or clinical pathology and is board certified in dermatopathology. We are an industry leader and in this role, you will join a great team of professionals with an outstanding support staff

• Perform diagnostic interpretation of all dermatopathology cases


• Be familiar and able to recommend clinically appropriate advanced diagnostic testing such as molecular and genetic studies.


• Takes initiative to improve quality in the workplace. 


• Participates and coordinates activities of QC/QA/QI to ensure quality care and evaluates effectiveness of quality assurance policies and procedures to enhance standards and excellence of service laboratory and company.


• Provide advice to referring physicians regarding the clinical significance of laboratory findings.


• Actively builds upon education and experience through Continuing Medical Education to maintain licensure and credentials. 

Job Requirements:

• M.D. or D.O.


• Subspeciality Dermatopathology fellowship required


• 2-3 years post residency experience desired


• Active unrestricted license to practice in Florida 


• Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations


• Ability visually, audibly, and physically performs all job functions.


• Ability to spend consecutive hours with continued focus, interpreting tissues and cellular preparations through a microscope.
