Design Engineer

Design Engineer - Muskegon, Michigan

DISHER is currently partnering with a leader in heavy gauge thermoformed products on their need for a Design Engineer in Muskegon, Michigan. In this role, you will design thermoformed products and thermoforming mold tooling using SolidWorks. You will gain an understanding of customer design requirements, attend design review meetings, and work with the manufacturing production team to develop packaging solutions.

• Lead the product and tool design from concept to production
• Understand customer design requirements and attend regular design review meetings
• Partner with the production team to develop packaging solutions
• Create complete prototypes

• High School Diploma/GED
• Must have experience in SolidWorks/SolidCAM
• At least 3 years of experience in tooling design
• Understanding of CNC programming, preferred
• Able to sit for long periods of time behind a computer
• Ability to work independently and meet customer deadlines
• Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations.
